Control of Greenhouse Diseases

Several diseases can affect tobacco seedlings in greenhouses and, if growers have not already done so, now would be a good time to control some of these diseases before seeding.  Information on the control of algae, black root rot, and Rhizoctonia and Pythium damping-off can be found in an article entitled “2017 Growing Season Will Begin Shortly – Importance of Steam Sterilizing Styrofoam Trays and Muck Seedbeds” in the Plant Protection section of this website.
